Yes. Ontario law requires a lawyer to complete title transfers, mortgage registrations, and other essential components of the transaction.

Ideally, before signing your Agreement of Purchase and Sale. We can ensure protective clauses are in place before it’s legally binding.

Title insurance protects you against losses related to issues such as fraud, zoning defects, unpaid property taxes, and encroachments. While not always mandatory, it is strongly recommended for both residential and commercial property owners. We’ll review and advise on title insurance as part of your transaction.

Absolutely. Our team provides legal support for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial lease agreements, as well as resolving disputes. We also advise on commercial lease renewals, enforcement, terminations, and rights under Ontario’s Commercial Tenancies Act.

On closing day, your lawyer ensures all funds are transferred, mortgage documents are registered, title is transferred, and all legal documents are finalized. We confirm the property is free of liens, review final statements of adjustments, and officially close the deal so you can take possession without delays or legal complications.

Absolutely. We ensure both parties understand their legal rights and responsibilities without involving a real estate agent.
